Day 1 – Buenos Aires
Arrival and reception at the airport; transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit to the most elegant South American city. You will sightsee the Plaza de Mayo main square and its surrounding buildings, 9 de Julio Avenue, the old quarter of San Telmo which used to be the most well-off district in the city, now becoming again one of the trendiest areas, and the Italian district of La Boca with its colourful “Caminito”, an alley skirted by the typical colored tin facades of the old “conventillos”, basic houses where, back in the beginning of the 20th century, many families would live together in just a few rooms.

On the way to Palermo, one of Buenos Aires traditional areas, you will go by the most important places such as the zoo, the botanical garden, Palermo Parks, the polo field, the planetarium and the oldest residential neighbourhood known as Palermo Viejo, finally ending in the sophisticated district of La Recoleta, where you will visit Evita’s grave. Return to the hotel.   you will enjoy a dinner show where you will enjoy the sensual magnetism of tango, performed by the best tango dancers and singers. Return to the hotel. Accommodation.


Day 2 – Buenos Aires / Salta
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to board the scheduled flight to Salta. Arrival and reception a the airport;transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to the beautiful city of Salta including visit to MAAM Museum. Salta is, beyond any doubt, the Argentine city which has best preserved its colonial heritage, with its one-storey houses and its typical balconies with richly ornate colonial-style bars.

The visit will make it possible to have a look at the most precious gems dating back to colonial times, such as: the Church and Monastery of San Francisco, the “Cabildo and Historic Museum of the Northwest”, the San Bernardo Monastery, the Italianstyle building of the Main Church, which hosts the mortal remains of the hero of the Independence Wars, General Martín Miguel de Güemes. The visit will end at the MAAM Museum (Archaeological Museum of High Mountain) which is a real ”must“ in the city for its great archaeological asset, particularly the mountains found in the height of Llullaillaco Volcano, in the Andean Cordillera. Return to the hotel. Accommodation


Day 3 – Salta- Cafayate
Breakfast. Departure to the calchaquies valleys, visiting Cachi, small and traditional village notable for its typical mud houses and colonial architecture. Route 40, De las flechas Gorge( Arrow,s Ravine) to finally arrive at Cafayate. Accommodation. Max Altitude 3348 Mt






Day 4 –Cafayate / Salta
In the morning we will take a brief tour of the town, including a visit to a winery. After lunch ( not included)departure toward Salta, visiting Quebrada de cafayate. arriving to Salta + transfer to the hotel.







Day 5 – Salta / San Antonio de los Cobres
Early departure following the route of the Train to the Clouds rails. Travelling this route we will see this impressive engineering masterpiece with its viaducts, switchbacks and loops. We fnally arrive at the small village of San
Antonio de los Cobres. After lunch we will continue towards Polvorrilla Viaduct, one of the most impressive engineering
masterpieces. Return to San Antonio de los Cobres. Accommodation at Hosteria de las Nubes.

The passengers will be able to go to San Antonio de los Cobres and Viaduct by the Train to the Clouds if they want so (additional cost). Valid option from April to early December, subject to weather conditions.
Maximum altitude. 4080 masl (13385ft). Total travelled distance: 169 Km (106 miles).

Day 6 – San Antonio de los Cobres/ San Pedro de Atacama
Early departure towards Salinas Grandes, the third biggest salt plain in the world. Later we will arrive at Susques, have lunch and visit the village with its
enchanting church. We continue to Paso de Jama to reach Atacama.Accommodation. Maximum altitude: 4200 masl (13780 ft). Total travelled distance: 353 km (221 miles)

det_1713Day 7  San Pedro de Atacama
Departure toward Atacama Salt Lake. We continue to arrive to the Atacama Salt Lake. It is located in the center of the most barren desert of the world. We will have
the opportunity to admire the great variety of famingoes and migratory birds that have found in the enormous salt their natural habitat; these birds give a very
peculiar atmosphere to the sector Maximum altitude. 2475 masl (8120 ft).  Total travelled distance: 130 km (82 miles).



det_1714Day 8 – San Pedro de Atacama 
San Pedro de Atacama Early departure to the El Tatio Geysers. This is a geothermal field located in the Andes Mountains
which presents at the early hours of the morning an impressive steaming fumaroles activity produced by high temperature of its craters. Return to San Pedro and in the afternoon visit the Valley of the Moon. It is an interesting area of formation of stone and sand and it was declared Sanctuary of the Nature. During the excursion you will climb a giant dune to observe the sunset, one of main attraction of San Pedro de Atacama. Maximum altitude: 4200 masl (13780 ft). (At Geyser del Tatio). Total travelled distance: 206 km (129 miles)


Day 9 –  San Pedro de Atacama/ Hito Cajon/ Villa Mar
Departure from San Pedro de Atacama to the border with Bolivia, Hito Cajon. We continue to Malku Cave visiting Laguna Verde, Valley of Dali, the Geysers Sol de Mañana (Morning Sun) and Laguna Colorada where you can watch famingos. Arrival overnight. Lunch and Dinner. Maximum altitude. 4.400 masl (14435 ft). Total travelled distance: 270 km (169 miles




det_1710Day 10–  Malku Cueva Hotel/ Colchani
Departure to the town of Colchani to visit the Great Salt. Visit to the Incahuasi´s Island Tour, known as Isla Pescado (Fish Island) where you can see the giant cactus. Lunch. In the afternoon you will arrive at Colchani, accommodation. Dinner

According the rules of Bolivia Government during the rainy season (Nov-March) is not possible to cross the Salt Lake in consequence the itinerary during this day will be modifed and the Isla Pescado will be not visited. Maximum altitude. 3843 masl (12608 ft). Total travelled distance: 250 km (156 miles).

det_1712Day 11 Colchani/ Tupiza
Departure to Tupiza. Overnight at Tupiza. Lunch and dinner. Maximum altitude. 3700 masl (12139 ft).

Day 12 Tupiza / La Quiaca/ Iruya

In the morning, transfer to the border with Bolivia. Arrival at Villazon and after customs formalities; continue to La Quiaca from where we will travel to Iruya. After endless series of switchbacks and always going up, we reach the highest point during the trip, “Abra del Condor” with 4000 masl. The view before arrive to the village is impressive and that is why it is called a “hanging village in the mountain” Maximum altitude. 4000 masl (4123 ft). Total travelled distance: 280 km (175 miles).

Day 13 Iruya/ Humahuaca Gorge/ Tilcara
Morning at leisure and departure towards Humahuaca. After visiting the town we will continue towards the Humahuaca Gorge, visiting typical and colorful villages. Arrival at Tilcara. Accommodation. Maximum altitude. 4000 masl (4123 ft). Total travelled distance: 115 km (72 miles

Day 14 Tilcara/ Purmamarca/ Buenos Aires
In the morning we will visit the village of Tilcara and its Pucara. Then we will go to Purmamarca where we will have lunch (not included) and have time to visit the handcraft fair. We return to Salta in the afternoon to board the fight to Buenos Aires. Arrival and transfer to the selected hotel. Maximum altitude. 2641 masl (8864 ft). Total travelled distance: 201 km (126 miles).

Time at leisure. In due time, transfer to the airport to board the scheduled departure fight.
