Las  Ventanillas de Otuzco, son tambi\u00e9n conocidas como: La Necr\u00f3polis de Otuzco,<\/strong> el nombre de \u201cventanillas\u201d es debido al aspecto que muestran como conjunto de cavidades organizadas en hileras consecutivas de manera horizontal.<\/p>\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 son las Ventanillas de Otuzco?<\/strong>
\nLas ventanillas son concavidades de forma cuadrada y rectangular, talladas en bajo relieve en una superficie rocosa de origen volc\u00e1nico (constituida por lava traqu\u00edtica y fenol\u00edtica).<\/p>\n

Historia de las  Ventanillas de Otuzco :<\/strong>
\nLa cultura Cajamarca, tuvo influencia entre los a\u00f1os 300 y 800 d.C. Probablemente estas criptas eran utilizadas para un segundo entierro, debido a que no se encontraron restos \u00f3seos completos. Aparentemente los difuntos eran enterrados primero en el suelo, pasado alg\u00fan tiempo, algunos huesos y cr\u00e1neos se depositaban en los nichos labrados en las rocas con fines de veneraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Construcci\u00f3n  de las  Ventanillas de Otuzco<\/strong>
\nEstas criptas o nichos de forma rectangular y cuadrada, fueron tallados en roca traquita \u2013 canter\u00eda, superpuesta una sobre otras, las cuales est\u00e1n protegidas por canaletas para que el agua discurra en \u00e9poca de lluvias.<\/p>\n

Los nichos y galer\u00edas tienen de 8 a 10 metros de profundidad y cada cavidad sepulcral es de 50 o 60 cm. de altura que originalmente debieron tener l\u00e1pidas de piedras con figuras simb\u00f3licas en relieve, conclusi\u00f3n que se da a raz\u00f3n de algunos fragmentos hallados en las criptas y algunas ceremonias.<\/p>\n

\u00bfD\u00f3nde est\u00e1 ubicado?<\/strong>
\nEst\u00e1 situado cerca del poblado Otuzco, en el distrito de Ba\u00f1os del Inca a 8 km al noroeste de la ciudad de Cajamarca, el sitio se localiza sobre roca volc\u00e1nica y posee un \u00e1rea de 4 000 metros.<\/p>\n

Altitud: Posee una altitud de 2850 m.s.n.m.<\/h4>\n
