Hier vinden we<strong> Laguna Chaxa<\/strong> waar 3 verschillende soorten flamingo&#8217;s leven. We bezoeken het pittoreske stadje <strong>Toconao<\/strong> waar de belangrijkste attractie de klokkentoren is, gebouwd op de klassieke Atacame\u00f1o-manier. Daarna bezoeken we de stad Socaire en de Me\u00f1ique en <strong>Miscanti Altiplanic Lagoons<\/strong>, gelegen op 4.500 m.a.s.l. Dit gebied maakt deel uit van het Los Flamencos National Reserve. De lagunes zijn omgeven door imposante vulkanen die zijn ontstaan \u200b\u200bals gevolg van de opkomst van de Andes in afgelegen geologische tijden. Lunch onderweg. Vrije tijd om te wandelen en terug te keren met een spectaculair uitzicht op <strong>de vulkanen Tocorpuri en Sairecabur.<\/strong> Bezoek onderweg het kleine stadje <strong>Machuca<\/strong>, met zijn typische teeltterrassen, lemen huizen met rieten daken, de kerk en de lokale fauna zoals lama&#8217;s, alpaca&#8217;s en flamingo&#8217;s.
