Het is gelegen in het midden van verschillende Inca wegen, dat het volledige Incarijk doorkruisten. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Na een mogelijks lastige wandeling, zul je de fascinerende<strong> Choquequirqo<\/strong> (bakermat van het goud in Quechua) site tegenkomen. Super op vlak van design, maar ook zeker de locatie, hoog gelegen, boven <strong>de Apurimac Canyon<\/strong> \u2013 de derde diepste in Peru. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Dit is een goede plaats om condors in hun natuurlijke habitat te observeren. Vanaf hier gaat de trek verder naar een nog meer afgelegen gebied waar je de dorpelingen kan zien die leven in de regio van Yanama, net als de gletsjers, valleien en zilver mijnen. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Het hoogste punt van de trekking is de Yanama pas op 4.800 meter, daarna dalen we af naar de subtropische regio. Het ontbijt wordt genuttigd in Curahuasi, daarna vervolgen we de reis, voor een 4 h durende rit van Cusco naar het dorpje Cachora (aan de rand van de Apurimac canyon) (2850 mt) waar we rond 9:30 am aankomen.<\/p>\n<p>We kunnen hier onze laatste inkopen doen. Dan rijden we verder tot Capuliyoc (2915 Mt) Hier zullen wij onze ezels beladen en de trek starten. Hier hebben we een eerst prachtig zicht over de canyon en de besneeuwde toppen van Padrayoc en Wayna Cachora bergen. We starten de afdaling voor 3 a 4 h tot in Chiquisqa (1836 Mt), 1 h verder komen we aan bij de wilde Apurimac rivier (1550 Mt) waar we lunchen.<\/p>\n<p>Na de lunch starts onze klim naar Santa Rosa kampeerplaats op 2095 mt. Dit is een pittige klim van 2 h, maar maakt de volgende dag een stuk makkelijker. Deze klim vanaf Santa Rosa tot Maranpata (3110 mt) duurt 3 h en is een pittige klim! Na de break hebben we al snel een eerste zicht over de ru\u00efnes van Choquequirao. Vanaf hier wandelen we 2 h verder tot aan de ru\u00efnes.<\/p>\n<p>We lunchen op de Choquequirao kampeerplaats (3110 mt) alvorens we in de namiddag de ru\u00efnes bezoeken. We genieten van de zonsondergang en hopen de prachtige condors te zien. Enkel 30 % van deze inca ruines van Choquequirao zijn opgegraven en gerestaureerd. We zien 3 verdiepingen ru\u00efnes van uitzonderlijke kwaliteit. Het is de pittige trektocht meer dan waard!<\/p>\n<p>De bewerking van de stenen in Choquequirao is niet zo verfijnd als in Machu picchu, daar de stenen gebruikt uit deze steengroeve zijn veel moeilijker te bewerken. Maar de gebouwen zijn indrukwekkend en van hoge kwaliteit en status. De ligging van de ruines is prachtig en indrukwekkend. Daarna gaat het voor een tijdje enkel naar beneden, waarbij je de recent ontdekte ru\u00efnes van Pincha Unuyoc ziet. Verder naar beneden kom je de Rio Blanco tegen, waar je even je voeten in het koude water kan verfrissen. Wees op je hoede voor de bijtende zandvliegen. Ze zijn ook bekend als \u201cPumahuacachi\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Dit betekent \u201cmaakt de puma aan het huilen\u201d. Op deze plaats, bij de Rio Blanco\u201d zal je kunnen genieten van een welverdiende lunch. Nadien klim je opnieuw omhoog (1,200 meter) naar een klein, maar mooie locatie: Maizal. Dit is gelegen op een hoogte van 3,000 meter. Dit is waarschijnlijk de lastigste dag van de trekking, maar al je goed voorbereid bent en vastberaden, dan zal je slagen.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Maaltijden:<\/strong> ontbijt, middag- en avondmaal<\/li>\n<li><strong>Accommodatie<\/strong>: kampeerplaats, Maizal 2,100-meter boven het zeeniveau<\/li>\n<li><strong>Klimaat:<\/strong> warm, winderig en \u00b4s&#8217;nachts kan het behoorlijk koud worden<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gewandelde afstand:<\/strong> ongeveer 18 km<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wandelduur<\/strong>: ongeveer 8 uur<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-115 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/southamericaplanet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/tour_19.jpg\" alt=\"Choquequirao trekking from cusco, peru to cachora and the ruins of choquequirao\" width=\"607\" height=\"334\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Dag 4: Maizal &#8211; Yanama\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Je laat het kamp achter en klimt langs de oude zilvermijnen naar de hoogste pas van deze trip: Abra San Juan op 4,000 meter. Dit zorgt voor spectaculaire zichten van de Vilcabamba bergketen.<\/p>\n<p>Daarna neem je een pad naar beneden naar het charmante Andes dorp: Yanama. Hier wordt er tijd gemaakt voor de lunch. Hier gaan we lunchen. Daarna zal ons priv\u00e9voertuig ons naar de waterkrachtcentrale brengen.Na ongeveer 1 1\/2 uur kom je aan bij de treinsporen. De belangrijkste oude Inca ru\u00efne \u201cMachu Picchu\u201d is gelegen op een hoogte van 2360 m, dus veel lager dan Cusco.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Een Engels sprekende gids leidt je rond voor ongeveer 2 uur<\/strong>. Omdat de Spanjaarden Machu Picchu nooit hebben ontdekt, is de stad goed bewaard gebleven. Pas in 1911 werd de stad, na jaren verscholen te zijn geweest in de jungle, ontdekt door de Amerikaan Hiram Bingham. De stad is alleen per trein en bus of te voet te bereiken. Machu Picchu is schitterend gelegen op een plateau te midden van grillige rotsformaties.<\/p>\n<p>De archeologen veronderstellen dat het eens een religieuze stad van de Inca\u00b4s is geweest, maar de precieze functie is nog steeds onbekend. Er is voldoende tijd om dit grootse ru\u00efnecomplex met haar vele tempels, terrassen en heilige plaatsen te verkennen. In totaal mag je 4 h op Machu picchu blijven.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We gaan \u00e9\u00e9n van deze circuits bezoeken,<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Ministerie van Cultuur heeft vanaf november 2021 vaste circuits ingevoerd,<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0afhankelijk van welke er beschikbaar is op de aankoopdata. Het ticket is slechts \u00e9\u00e9n keer te gebruiken om binnen te komen. Je krijgt dan toegang tot \u00e9\u00e9n van de onderstaande circuits. Het is \u00e9\u00e9n richting wandelen, je kan niet terugkeren.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.machupicchu.gob.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Circuitos-Nuevos_covid19-3-2021.pdf\">Circuit 1 Alto Corto\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.machupicchu.gob.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Circuitos-Nuevos_covid19-2-2021.pdf\">Circuit 2 Alto Largo<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.machupicchu.gob.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Circuitos-Nuevos_covid19-1-2021.pdf\">Circuit 3 Bajo Corto<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.machupicchu.gob.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Circuitos-Nuevos_covid19-4-2021.pdf\">Circuit 4 Bajo Largo<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Inbegrepen in lares is het standaard ticket, zonder Huayna of Machu Picchu Mountain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>OPMERKING:<\/strong>\u00a0Houd er rekening mee dat als je een Huayna Picchu-permit wilt, je\u00a0ver van tevoren moet reserveren (beperkte plaatsen) en in dit circuit zie je maar een klein deel van Machu Picchu (alleen het onderste deel).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Casa del Guardi\u00e1n <\/strong>(bewakers huis) kan alleen bezocht worden in circuit met Machu Picchu berg permit.<strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Ook de zonnepoort is enkel toegankelijk voor mensen van de Incatrail 2 en 4 dagen.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nadien nemen we de bus terug naar Aguas Calientes (inbegrepen), of wandel je naar beneden in 1,5 h waar we de expedition trein naar Poroy of Ollantaytambo nemen. Vanaf het station staat er dan een transfer te wachten, die je laat in de avond, naar je hotel brengt in Cusco.
