De archeologie van Noord Peru is zeker zo interessant als de archeologie in de omgeving van Cusco! Peru\u2019s noordelijke helft is ongeveer de helft van West – Europa en bezit de meeste ru\u00efnes, maar ook \u00e9\u00e9n van de oudste beschavingen<\/strong>. Het is de hoofdstad van het marine dansen en het kweekcentrum voor de Peruaanse El Paso paarden<\/strong>. Het was ook het centrum van de Chim\u00fa cultuur (1100 – 1400 AD), waarvan het Chan Chan fort de grootste pre – Hispanic modder constructie in Amerika is. Rond de stad kunnen bezoekers nog een oudere stijl van architectuur ontdekken. Deze is van een pr\u00e9 – Spaanse beschaving. Chan – Chan citadel, El Brujo complex,  de temples van Arco Iris en Dragon<\/strong>, zijn allen bewijzen van de belangrijke beschaving die zich in het noorden van Peru bevinden. In de piramides van Huaca de sol y luna worden er dagelijks nog nieuwe ontdekkingen gedaan! Huanchaco is een pittoresk vissersdorpje met souvenirs zoals Mochica potjes en rieten boten, de caballitos genoemd.<\/p>\n

Dag 1 Aankomst Trujillo<\/strong><\/p>\n

Transfer van luchthaven of bustation naar Huanchaco of Trujillo. (Huanchaco waar je heerlijk kunt relaxen in een hotel vlakbij het strand).  Tempels, piramides en moddersteden die het gure weer overleven: Chan Chan, Huaca del Sol y la Luna en El Brujo. Het gebied biedt prachtige koloniale architectuur en levende cultuur met diepgewortelde tradities, zoals vissen op Caballitos de Tortora (de traditionele rietvlotten van de noordkust), en beroemde stranden die surfers van over de hele wereld aantrekken. Dit is de geboorteplaats van de sensuele en verleidelijke “marinera”, de nationale dans van Peru. Hotel Huanchaco of Trujillo<\/p>\n

Stadstour 1\/2 dag<\/strong>
\n– Bezoek aan de stad Trujillo. De tour begint op het centrale plein, de kathedraal, het Urquiaga-huis, de La Merced-kerk, het emancipatiehuis, het Iturregui-paleis en tot slot bezoeken we het Archeologisch Museum van de Nationale Universiteit van Trujillo<\/p>\n

Dag 2 Huaca sol en lima + Chan Chan<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vandaag bezoeken we Chan Chan,<\/strong> de hoofdstad van het Chim\u00fa-rijk<\/strong>, het strekte zich uit over meer dan 18 km2. Het Tschudi-paleis, gelegen in het zuidwesten van Chan Chan, is een van de best bewaarde en goed gedecoreerde paleizen. Het is versierd met geometrische vormen en dierentekeningen in laag reli\u00ebf. Je bezoekt ook de ceremoni\u00eble plaatsen, de graanopslagplaatsen en de begraafplaats. Het is een enorm stedelijk complex gemaakt van een soort modder genaamd adobe. De grootsheid en perfectie van deze stad komt tot uiting in de hoge versierde muren, lange gangen, ceremoni\u00eble pleinen, paleizen, werkplaatsen en pakhuizen. Er was plaats voor 100.000 mensen, bijna een stadstaat. Hierna rijden we naar de piramides van \u201cArco iris\u201d,<\/strong> ook wel bekend als \u201cHuaca El Dragon\u201d<\/strong>, gebouwd door de Chimu cultuur tussen de 11e en 15e eeuw en omgeven door een 6 meter hoge muur. Huacas del Sol en La Luna – Huacas de Moche Site Museum
\n– Bezoek aan Huacas del Sol en La Luna,<\/strong> hoofdstad van de Moche-cultuur. Momenteel is Huaca de La Luna in opgraving . Het is mogelijk om de prachtige muurschilderingen te zien met de afbeelding van de god Ai-Paec, ook wel bekend als de “Onthoofder”.<\/p>\n

Dag 3 El Brujo Complex + Transfer uit<\/strong><\/p>\n

Het Brujo-complex – The Lady of Cao Museum<\/strong>
\n– Vertrek naar de Chicama-vallei om het archeologische complex “El Brujo” te bezoeken, het administratieve centrum van de Moche-cultuur. De tempel Cao Viejo is de bezochte plaats. Op de muren van de tempel hangen tekeningen van gevangenen, krijgers en andere belangrijke ceremoni\u00eble ontwerpen. In 2006 werd een koninklijk graf van een belangrijke vrouw ontdekt, genaamd “The Lady of Cao”. Alle objecten en ook de mummie zijn tentoongesteld in het Cao Museum.<\/p>\n
