Dag 1: Bezoek Machu Picchu<\/strong>
\n\u2019s Morgens vroeg vertrekken we naar het treinstation van Poroy of Ollantaytambo voor de trein naar Aguas Calientes. De trein rijdt door een prachtig landschap en doet ongeveer 4 uur over de reis (vanaf Cusco).( 1 h 30 min uit Ollanta ) We eindigen aan de rand van de jungle in het dorpje Aguas Calientes.<\/p>\n

Vanaf Aguas Calientes ga je dan met een internationale groep in een bus naar boven, naar Macchu Picchu en bezoek je samen met een Engelstalige gids het mysterieuze Machu Picchu.  De belangrijkste oude Inca ru\u00efne \u201c Machu Picchu\u201d is gelegen op een hoogte van 2360 m, dus veel lager dan Cusco. Een Engels sprekende gids leidt je rond voor ongeveer 2 uur<\/strong>. Omdat de Spanjaarden Machu Picchu nooit hebben ontdekt, is de stad goed bewaard gebleven. Pas in 1911 werd de stad, na jaren verscholen te zijn geweest in de jungle, ontdekt door de Amerikaan Hiram Bingham. De stad is alleen per trein en bus of te voet te bereiken. Machu Picchu is schitterend gelegen op een plateau te midden van grillige rotsformaties. De archeologen veronderstellen dat het eens een religieuze stad van de Inca\u00b4s is geweest, maar de precieze functie is nog steeds onbekend. Er is voldoende tijd om dit grootse ru\u00efnecomplex met haar vele tempels, terrassen en heilige plaatsen te verkennen. In totaal mag je 4 h op Machu picchu blijven<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We gaan \u00e9\u00e9n van deze circuits bezoeken,<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ministerie van Cultuur heeft vanaf november 2021 vaste circuits ingevoerd,<\/em><\/strong> afhankelijk van welke er beschikbaar is op de aankoopdata. Het ticket is slechts \u00e9\u00e9n keer te gebruiken om binnen te komen. Je krijgt dan toegang tot \u00e9\u00e9n van de onderstaande circuits. Het is \u00e9\u00e9n richting wandelen, je kan niet terugkeren.<\/p>\n

Inbegrepen is het standaard ticket, zonder Huayna of Machu Picchu mountain<\/strong>
\nOPMERKING:<\/strong> Houd er rekening mee dat als je een Huayna Picchu-permit wilt, je  ver van tevoren moet reserveren (beperkte plaatsen) en in dit circuit zie je maar een klein deel van Machu Picchu (alleen het onderste deel).
\nCasa del Guardi\u00e1n<\/strong>( bewakers huis) kan alleen bezocht worden in circuit met Machu Picchu berg permit. Ook de zonnepoort is enkel toegankelijk voor mensen van de Incatrail 2 en 4 dagen.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Nadien nemen we de bus terug naar Aguas Calientes ( inbegrepen), of wandel je naar beneden in 1,5 h waar we de expedition trein naar Poroy of Ollantaytambo nemen. Vanaf het station staat er dan een transfer te wachten, die je laat in de avond, naar je hotel brengt in Cusco. <\/p>\n

Machu Picchu in 2 dagen<\/strong>
\nPS:<\/strong> Deze tour is ook mogelijk in 2 dagen, wat we u aanraden !<\/p>\n

Dag 1:<\/strong> Neem je de trein naar Aguas Calientes en slaap er in een hotel. In de namiddag kan je naar de hot springs gaan of naar Mandor wandelen. Dit is een waterval aan de rand van de jungle. Of geniet je van een fris biertje op 1 van de vele terrasjes langs het spoor. Het is hier steeds een stuk warmer!<\/div>\n
Dag 2: <\/strong> Bezoek Machu Picchu zeer vroeg met de eerste bus van 5.30 u. ( we proberen steeds de eerste inkomtickets aan te kopen). Zo zie je zonsopgang op Machu Picchu. In de namiddag neem je dan de trein naar Cusco of Ollantaytambo.<\/div>\n
Deze tour kost evenveel dan dezelfde in 1dag. Je moet enkel de prijs van 1 nacht hostal\/hotel erbij voegen.<\/div>\n
In Aguas Calientes zijn veel hotels in elke prijsklasse!<\/div>\n
