TOER SICAN \u2013 BOSQUE DE POMAC <\/strong>(volle dag)<\/p>\n

De tour begint in het National Sic\u00e1n Museum. Dit moderne museum heeft een prachtige collectie Sic\u00e1n-artefacten, waarvan de meeste zijn gevonden tijdens opgravingen van Bat\u00e1n Grande. Het museum toont verschillende aspecten van de Sic\u00e1n-cultuur door de weergave van het huiselijk leven en productieprocessen. Andere kamers tonen graven en voorwerpen. Het museum biedt ook details over het opgravings- en conserveringsproces, evenals informatie over de chronologie, ontwikkeling, economische activiteiten en begraafpatronen van de Sic\u00e1n-bevolking.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Na de museum tour bezoeken we Bosque de Pomac<\/strong>. Bosque de Pomac ligt 35 km ten noorden van Chiclayo en is een natuurreservaat van 300 hectare<\/strong>. Het reservaat beschermt niet alleen een groot stuk droog bos, maar ook de ru\u00efnes van Bat\u00e1n Grande,<\/strong> de eerste hoofdstad van Sic\u00e1n. De Sic\u00e1n<\/strong> (niet te verwarren met de Sip\u00e1n) waren een oude beschaving die zich ontwikkelde in het noorden van Peru tussen 800 en 1300 na Christus. Een Japanse archeoloog heeft de site voor het eerst opgegraven in 1978, maar pas in 1992 ontdekte zijn team een \u200b\u200bgraf van een elite lid van de Sic\u00e1n-samenleving. Uit dit graf werd ongeveer 1,2 ton edelmetaal verwijderd – voornamelijk sieraden en religieuze voorwerpen. Deze objecten worden nu opgeslagen in het National Sic\u00e1n Museum.          <\/strong>
