Nadat je wat Coca-thee hebt gedronken (optioneel) om je voor te bereiden op de hoogte, gaat de route oostwaarts richting de Cordillera Blanca via de Pachacoto Canyon.<\/p>\n<p>Onderweg heb je een aantal interessante stops zoals Patococha (Duck Lake) met spectaculaire landschappen, het koolzuurhoudende water (niet drinkbaar) van Pumapampa, de Puya raimondi-planten die ook \u2019s werelds grootste bromelia\u2019s (ananasfamilie) zijn en kunnen tot 10m hoogte bereiken. De bronnen van Pumapashimin zijn verbluffend en hun kleuren veranderen afhankelijk van&nbsp; de helderheid van de zon, ook wel bekend als de lente van de zeven kleuren, waar de boeren geloven dat de regenboog is geboren<\/p>\n<p>Op de parkeerplaats van de gletsjer (4.867 m) is er een wandeling van 30-45 minuten (enkele reis) om de zich terugtrekkende Pastoruri-gletsjer op 5.100 m hoogte te bereiken, waar je uit de eerste hand de gevolgen van klimaatverandering kunt zien.<\/p>\n<p>Vertrekkend vanaf de gletsjer, is er een stop voor een late lunch, rond 15.00 uur of 16.00 uur. Keer terug naar Huaraz rond 17.30 uur.
