Vroeg in de ochtend vertrekken we vanaf ons hotel, en rijden we naar de vallei van de Inkas.\u00a0 Onderweg bewonderen we de indrukwekkende Urubamba vallei, met aardappel velden en maisvelden die tot het dorpje Chinchero behoren. We vervolgen onze route door de heilige vallei en passeren Urubamba, het grootste en belangrijkste dorp in de heilige vallei, tot we uiteindelijk aankomen in \u00a0Ollantaytambo, waar onze trekking start. We steken de Inka brug over de Vilcanota Rivier over. Vanaf hier start onze klim, over een inka trail \u00a0via terrassen en graven, tot we aan de basis komen van \u00e9\u00e9n van de belangrijkste bergen in deze omgeving, “de Apu Buena Negra” een granieten geological formatie. Deze trektocht volgt een originele inca trail, dat de inkas gebruikten om de stenen vanuit de steengroeve van Cachiccata , naar de heilige vallei te vervoeren om het belangrijke inca fort “Ollantaytambo” te bouwen. \u00a0Hier vinden we ook inca graven, fijn steen werk en rampen om stenen te vervoeren. De gids verteld over het proces van bewerking en vervoer van deze stenen. Eigenlijk volgen we dezelfde weg, die ooit de massieve grote rotsblokken van verschillende ton, hebben afgelegd naar Ollantaytambo.<\/p>\n

Vanaf de steengroeve \u00a0of \u00a0Cachiccata \u00a0hebben we een prachtig zicht over de besneeuwde bergtoppen van we de Veronica berg, \u00e9\u00e9n van de belangrijkste bergen in de Urubamba bergketen. We hebben ook een prachtig zicht over \u00a0Pakaritampu\u00a0 pyramide, op de terrassen. Alsook een mooi beeld van Ollantaytambo dorp en fort. Met dit zicht, nuttigen we onze lunch box. Na de lunch dalen we we terug af, terwijl we genieten van de prachtige zichten over de heilige vallei , zijn mooie kleine huisjes, en zijn maisvelden waar de heilige rivier tussen stroomt en voor irrigatie zorgt. De trektocht eindigt bij \u00a0\u201cEl Rancho\u201d in het dorpje Cachiccata. De huizen zijn hier gebouwd op een stenen fundering, met daar bovenop de adobe (lemen stenen ). Huizen met enkel 1 tot maxima 2 verdiepen en een dak van stro. Ons transport wacht ons op in het dorpje Cachiccata. Dit transport brengt ons naar het treinstation van ollantaytambo ( om de volgende dag machu picchu te bezoeken ) of naar ons hotel in de heilige vallei , of naar Cusco<\/p>\n

NOTA:<\/strong> Voor mensen die meer willen trekken, kunnen we de intipunku toevoegen. Deze inca contructie bevind zich op de top van de berg. Vanaf hier heb je een prachtig zicht over de Inca trail en de heilige vallei. Deze tocht duurt 2 h meer en eindigt ook in Cachiccata.<\/p>\n
