Bezoek<strong> het Santa catalina klooster<\/strong>. Het is een bijzondere plek om een middag doorheen te dwalen, een stad op zich, het beslaat ca. 20.000 m2, 400 jaar lang hebben hier zo\u2019n 450 nonnen&nbsp; in totale afzondering geleefd. Pas in 1970 werd het klooster geopend voor het publiek hier. <strong>Ook de kathedraal op de Plaza de Armas aan de buitenkant.<\/strong>&nbsp;Ook bezoeken we <strong>de locale markt<\/strong> met een pracht aan kleuren en geuren. Zeer levendig en veel fruitsoorten die wij niet kennen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Optioneel<\/strong> ook vooral de trots van Arequipa, de mummie<strong> \u201cJuanita.<\/strong>\u201d. Zij ligt in het&nbsp; museum Santuarios Andinos, het jonge Inca meisje.&nbsp; Zij werd ooit door de Inca\u2019s geofferd aan de rand van de ampato vulkaan om deze gunstig te stemmen.
