The National Fair of Community-based Tourism: Celebrating the cultural richness of Peru

On October 4 and 5, 2024, Peru became the epicenter of community-based tourism with the realization of the long-awaited National Fair of Community-Based Tourism. This event, which brought together communities, tourists, entrepreneurs and authorities, highlighted the country’s cultural diversity and natural wealth, highlighting ancestral traditions and sustainable practices that promote more inclusive and environmentally friendly tourism.

The fair was held in the historic city of Cusco, the heart of the ancient Inca Empire, providing an incomparable setting to celebrate and reflect on the importance of community-based tourism.
