ITINERARY
DAY: Tarija – Santa Ana- Tarija.
09:00 to 14:00 Pick up from Tarija office.
09:30 to 14:30 Visit to squares.
10:00 to 15:00 Visit to the Churches and Museums.
10:30 to 15:30 Visit to the viewpoint
11:30 to 16:30 Visit to the Guadalquivir River and green areas.
13:00 to 18:00 Return to the Hotel.


Day: City Tour Tarija
9:00 am. The tour starts at the Office in Tarija, which is located in the same facilities of the Mitru Tarija Hotel located in the center of the city. During our tour we will visit the most important historical places located in the city:

  • Main Square: A colorful square, administrative and financial center of the city. It is surrounded by beautiful buildings that maintain their colonial architecture.
  • Casa Dorada: An impressive example of late 1800s architecture, steeped in history and paintings from the last two centuries. The Golden House belonged to one of the richest families in the area and is now the House of Culture of Tarija, where many events and exhibitions are held every year.
  • Paleontological Museum: In this museum (opened in 1959), you can find hundreds of fossils and a large number of archaeological remains.
  • San Francisco Museum: Old monastery that contains several examples of colonial works. We can know the passing of the history of Tarija thanks to the documents of the Franciscan archive, which have allowed us to reconstruct the way of life of this religious order that was closely linked to the history of this region.
  • Cathedral Church: The most historic and emblematic church in the city. The Cathedral was declared Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Nation on September 27, 2004Mirador de la
  • Loma de San Juan and other tourist attractions such as the avenue of the 4 names and the Guadalquivir River which borders the city with its different bridges and green areas which identify this beautiful, warm and picturesque city.
  • Blue Castle: It belonged to Don Moisés Navajas in the 19th century. The building was built immediately after finishing the Golden House, at that time of economic momentum.
  • At the end of the tour we will visit Bolívar Park, where every Saturday there is a fair and different attractive activities. The tour lasts approximately 4 hours and you will be dropped off at your hotel around 1:00 PM or 6:00 PM for afternoon tours
