Uros floating islands tour and overnight in Taquile 2 d
After breakfast we will pick you up at 7:00 AM from the hotel to go to the port of Puno where you will take our covered motor boat. After 25 minutes of navigation we visit the “UROS” people who speak Aymara and who live in the Floating Islands they built themselves on the basis of TOTORA, a kind of reed growing on the shores of Lake TITICACA, there are about 100 islands where an average of 5 families live. we can visit one. we have the possibility to make a trip In the BALSAS (boats built on the basis of TOTORA) (optional) The visit to these floating islands takes about 1 hour. We return to our boat and sail for 2 hours until we reach TAQUILE main island. An island where people speak QUECHUA and are known as TEJEDORES (weavers) island, after a walk on the island and lunch, the local family will take you to their house to spend the night. In the afternoon you have free time in which you can climb to the top of the island 4170 masl, or walk to the beach. Diner is prepared by the family. The next day you have the morning free to explore the island further, the return to the city of Puno is after lunch. About 1:00 PM
