Environment Peru
It is our commitment to recycle as much as possible and reduce the production of garbage.
The 3R is a rule to take care of the environment, specifically to reduce the production of waste and thereby contribute to the protection and conservation of the environment. It consists of three steps: reduce, reuse and recycle.
In recent years, thanks to different awareness campaigns, SOUTHAMERICAPLANET has managed to change our consumption habits, making them more responsible and sustainable. There are already many households that actively contribute to the separation of garbage and every day we are more aware that this practice is the only way we have to preserve and, therefore, to enjoy our planet.
We have an agreement with the organization Reciclocusco
Recycling works in a chain and therefore, the simple fact of throwing our garbage in one container or another is essential to be able to enjoy the energy benefits obtained in the recycling process and make us feel better knowing that the reuse of a ton of paper saves the life of 17 trees.
At SOUTHAMERICAPLANET we are committed to the environment by making efficient and responsible use of the resources we have at our disposal. We have carried out an activity to educate guides, cooks, porters, office staff and customers of the importance of recycling. But what exactly is the recycling process? It is the process of subjecting materials to a process in which they can be reused, reducing in a truly significant way the use of new materials, and with it, more waste in the future.
As operators, we believe that we can be important contributors to the development of responsible tourism. We will do everything possible to prevent the abuse and mistreatment of animals and plants in any of the activities we propose. We will work toward integrating these considerations into our operations and activities.
Eating in the most touristy restaurants of the destination we have chosen will not bring us closer to the gastronomy of the place we are getting to know. Let yourself be recommended and try authentic restaurants where local products are really cooked.
You can also take the opportunity to buy in local markets and stores and eat those products one day. In this way you will get to know their products first hand, contributing to the economy and culture of the destination and, in addition, in many cases it will be cheaper.
It is important to bear in mind that environmental impacts are not only negative, according to ISO 14001: 2004, Environmental Management Systems, Environmental Impact is defined as any change in the environment, whether adverse or beneficial, as a total or partial result. of the environmental aspects of an organization; understanding environmental aspect as the element of activities, products or services that can interact with the environment.
Tourism as an economic sphere is generally combined with other activities. However, in some cases it is the dominant activity, so that a kind of “territorial development model” is produced in which tourism sets the pattern of impact on the natural environment and also on the socio-cultural environment.
