This tour starts around 8:00 am from Huaraz, a van will pick you up from your accommodation then drive 40 minutes to Carhuaz town where there is a stop to buy water and snacks for the day, from here you can enjoy the view of the mountains already. The tour continues to Caraz, from here it climbs through agricultural fields and typical Andean villages. Before arriving at the lake, make a short stop at the Paron control to pay for the entrance tickets. It is a total of 3 hours’ drive to the Paron lagoon at 4200m. Once there you can enjoy the scenery and the views. You can take a short walk to Paron’s viewpoint to have fantastic views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. The trail has a steep climb with the last rocky section reaching 4300 meters. After descending to Lake Paron, you can take a boat trip (surcharge) or simply enjoy the view of the lake. At 2:00 PM we leave, 3 hours back to Huaraz, end of tour around 6:00 PM.

Note The road from Caraz to Laguna Paron in the Huascarán National Park is an unpaved road and some parts of this road can be bumpy, in addition to winding parts of the climb / descent to and from the lake.
