I hereby introduce you to our new, Ikam Riverlodge, located 30 minutes from Puerto Maldonado on the banks of the Tambopata River. It has 18 rooms, considering: 12 superior, 4 Deluxe, 2 Family. The rooms have air conditioning, the Lodge has electricity 24 hours a day

Day 1: Arrival in Puerto Maldonado

• Your adventure begins when you arrive at the Puerto Maldonado airport (PEM), where our transfer guide will be waiting to accompany you on this exciting experience.
• From the airport, we will go to the Capitanía port in a 15-minute journey in our air-conditioned mobility. There, we will board a boat with an outboard motor to begin our journey through the Madre de Dios and Tambopata rivers, a journey that will take between 25 and 30 minutes. During this time, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the impressive views of the city and the abundant vegetation in the area.
• Upon arrival at the accommodation, we will proceed with check-in and you will receive a warm welcome from our team. Take advantage of this moment to settle in and relax after the trip.
• After settling in, we will have lunch (12:00 to 15:00 hrs.) then you will have free time before our first excursion.
• Our first activity starts at 4:00 p.m. and ends at 6:30 p.m. During this time, we will enjoy a charming boat ride along the beautiful Tambopata River, contemplating a spectacular Amazonian sunset with warm and vibrant colors. We will refresh this captivating tour with some delicious drinks and enjoy an Amazonian snack while the sun sets. On our return, we will sail slowly looking for the fauna that appears on the banks of the Tambopata River, using a reflector in search of alligators or other animals that are on the river bank.
• At the end of the activity, we will return to the accommodation to enjoy an a la carte dinner prepared with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors of the region. (schedule of the Restaurant from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.)

Day 2: Jungle Exploration

• Wake up to the singing of tropical birds and enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet (5:00 to 9:00) that will give you the energy you need for the exciting adventures that await you.
• After breakfast, we will embark on an unforgettable half-day adventure exploring the majestic Lake Sandoval from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Approximately. We will sail for a period of 45 minutes and then take a walk of approximately one hour until we reach this natural treasure that represents the exuberance of the Madre de Dios region. There we will take a canoe and with the help of our guide we will explore its surface which reflects the surrounding beauty like a mirror and is home to unparalleled biodiversity. From the river otters to the imposing howler monkeys, colorful macaws and the fascinating and prehistoric hoatzines, every corner of this environment will surprise you with its animal life. In addition to its emblematic inhabitants, Lake Sandoval is home to a varied fauna that includes alligators, turtles and a wide range of exotic birds and multicolored butterflies. Immerse yourself in this natural paradise and let yourself be captivated by the wonderful biodiversity that characterizes it.
• Upon our return to the lodge, we will arrive just around lunch time (12:00 to 15:00 hrs.).
• The afternoon is free for you to choose from a variety of optional activities, such as bird watching, walks through our gardens or simply relaxing and enjoying the serene surroundings.
• In the evening our delicious a la carte dinner awaits us (6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.). If you wish, you can join the optional Circle of Fire, a nighttime experience to share stories and experiences around a campfire or have the opportunity to participate in an exciting night walk through the jungle (8:30 p.m.), where you can observe life of the jungle and discover fascinating creatures that only come out after dark. (45 minutes)

Day 3: Farewell to the Jungle.

• After enjoying one last breakfast in the jungle, we will prepare to check out (10:00 a.m.) from the lodge.
• At 10:30 a.m., we will begin the return trip to the Puerto Maldonado airport, this time by land. During the journey, you will be able to reflect on the incredible experiences you had and the unforgettable memories you take with you from the Amazon rainforest.
• With a heart full of gratitude and a mind full of memories, you will say goodbye to the Tambopata National Reserve and take with you the spirit of adventure and the indescribable beauty of the Amazon rainforest.

Note:

It is recommended to do the Sandoval Lake tour on the morning of the second day, at the indicated time, because it is the time with the greatest opportunity for wildlife sightings, in addition to the fact that it gives us the opportunity to do the Sunset activity, if there were any. passengers who arrived on the last flight and missed that activity on the first day.
